Additionally there is an invaluable reprint of "Jacob Our Forefather Did Not Die" at the beginning of this book. This Chassidic discourse explains the present paradoxical circumstance wherein a death has occurred yet literal life continues for Rabbi Schneerson.

No less than fourteen renowned Chassidic Rabbis contribute their in depth English articles clarifying the many questions and explaining their personal certainty that Rabbi Schneerson is still the Messiah/Moshiach in spite of his reported passing. Available only recently in an English translation, there are to date three volumes of these Sacred Letters.

As explained in RNN's Special Report Miracles, Miracles and Yet More Miracles, people are reporting that they are receiving specific, and in many cases, supernatural answers from Rabbi Schneerson's published letters. We present now just one such testimony regarding this frequently reported supra-rational phenomenon surrounding Rabbi Schneerson and those who are aware of and connected to him.

<Picture>Thank G-d, that the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach [King Messiah] insisted (before Gimmel Tammuz - the day of the REBBE'S concealment), on the publication of the Sifrei Igros Kodesh (books of his Holy Letters). As we therefore now have a vehicle to communicate with him..

 The ringing of the telephone woke me up with a start that Friday morning just after Shavuos [the Jewish Holiday which celebrates the Giving of the Five Books of Moses]. Chaya F. was calling to ask if I would intervene on behalf of a good friend. Would I kindly write to the Rebbe for a blessing for her friend's father-in-law. Ten days earlier he had suddenly suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. In the emergency room they wanted to insert something in his throat and in the process accidentally knocked out the dentures from his mouth. Rather than knocking them out of his mouth they were pushed down his throat. They lodged in his intestine and were still there, causing him excruciating pain. He developed pneumonia and high fever and was on a respirator in pretty bad shape. At this point he was just getting over the pneumonia but still in the intensive care unit. The doctor's were contemplating surgery to remove the dentures, as they were concerned that they may be causing internal bleeding.

I called her friend Shandee Fuches (who was understandably very upset), and asked her for her father-in-laws name, so that I would be able to write to the Rebbe for advice and a blessing. I took the opportunity of telling her to say his chapter in Tehillim [Psalms]. Explaining, that each person has their own chapter for that year. In his case being that he is seventy two, his chapter would be seventy three. I also explained that as soon as one writes to the Rebbe, the Rebbe is there for you, and that I would write immediately.

I wrote a letter explaining the situation and asked for advice regarding the surgery and for a blessing.

I opened the Igros Kodesh (book of Holy Letters) to the page where I had randomly put my letter (in volume 20, page 252).

The Rebbe's answer was dated "Erev Shabbos" the twelfth day of Sivan[Friday]. The Rebbe then acknowledged my letter of "Isru Chag Shavuos" (which was that day)! He continued to outline what should be done in order to correct the situation, stating that we are given the days until the twelfth of Sivan to do so. The Rebbe concluded the letter by saying "This should all be brought down, also in physical matters, and with joy!"

As soon as I saw this amazing answer from the Rebbe, I took the Igros and went to make a copy so that I could fax it to Shandee. I wanted her to see it for herself.

By the time I called her back later that day, it was not the same depressed voice of that morning. Before I had a chance to say anything, she exclaimed "I am not a Lubavitcher, I enjoy reading about Lubavitch though, but when it happens to you, it really spooks you!" She then went on to inform me that when she hung up the phone that morning after our conversation, she did as I suggested. She went into her father-in-law's room and said his chapter aloud for him to hear as well. No sooner did she finish when he sat up, reached for the Tehillim[Psalms], and kissed it. He then motioned to her to bring his Teffilin [Phylacteries] as he would like to put them on. Later that same day the doctors informed her that his situation seems to have improved and he would be removed from intensive care to a regular room. They also decided to postpone the surgery for the time being.

Needless to say Shandee was amazed at how fast the Rebbe worked. I then told her that I would like to fax the answer from the Rebbe to her so that she can read it for herself.

When I spoke to her after Shabbos, she told me that her father-in-law had a bad day, and seems to have developed fever again. I told her that I would write again for a blessing on his behalf. I then explained the Rebbe's initial letter. The Rebbe stressed completing what one did not complete on Shavuos. In his case, I suggested he make a resolution to learn Torah daily (as that is what is stressed on Shavuos). I also asked her if she would like to give him some of the Rebbe's Mikveh water, to which she replied that she will ask him if he wants it. I explained that making a resolution to do another mitzvah (good deed), is like making a vessel in which to receive the blessings from the Rebbe. Therefore, if he will just make the resolution he will see - hopefully by the date the Rebbe quotes in his letter - the results he desires.

Shandee relayed this to him and he nodded his head vigorously that he was in full agreement to such a resolution. He also expressed the wish for the Rebbe's Mikveh water.

On Sunday afternoon she came to my home and I gave her some of the water. Two hours later, I received a call from her telling me with great excitement that they are already beginning to see the miracle. she didn't even have a chance to give him the mikveh water, he just made the resolution and became totally alert, got out of bed and actually went and took a shower.

The following day, she went to the hospital and gave him some of the Rebbe's mikveh water. Later on that day the doctor's took a sonogram to see what is happening with the dentures and to their pleasant surprise it seemed as though they had moved down. On two more occasions I wrote to the Rebbe regarding him and each time (though in a different volume each time) the Rebbe stressed learning Torah, and the letters were dated in the month of Sivan.

On Tuesday morning, Shandee once again gave him the Rebbe's mikveh water. On Tuesday afternoon, the twelfth day of Sivan the dentures came out naturally, without any pain or damage what so ever!

Now, two weeks later as he is getting ready to leave the hospital for a rehabilitation center, he has begun swallowing the Rebbe's water (though he can't swallow, and is fed by a peg in the stomach). It is with the hope that as he begins to carry out his resolution of learning Torah daily, he will have the final miracle, that of regaining his speech and complete health!
