As RNN discovered, getting a rational handle on the topic of Miracles is no small matter. Countless volumes of information on this topic fill Jewish literature. The starting point of defining what a miracle is begins with a miracle itself, namely, nature, as we were told. Our sources went on to explain in greater detail.

Due to the repetitive frequency of what we call "nature", nature is taken for granted. Most people have little desire to contemplate the tree outside or the sky. Seasons come, seasons go in a wondrous repetitive cycle while we respond, without closer examination, to this ever changing life experience of ours. We walk the paths of our lives with an attitude of "Well that's the way it is." When, however, our mental comfort with nature is intruded upon by something that goes against our expectation or understanding of nature, it is then that the word "miracle" pops into our conversation.

A little baby falls from a sixth story window and doesn't die. All passengers perish in an airplane crash except for one. Events like these change people's lives. They tune people into a higher awareness of Divine Providence, which, as Judaism teaches, is absolute. "There is no such thing as an accident" one source explained. The Creator continuously creates and Rules over all events. We become accustomed to their regularity and take them for granted calling them "nature."

Man has been able to artificially create the color orange, orange flavor, and artificial orange sculpture that visually defies distinction from the real thing. The creation of an actual orange, however, from anything, yet alone from nothing, is but one of the infinite number of miracles woven into and usually hidden from our blinded perception of the inherent miraculous nature of nature itself.

Like the repeated viewing of the Zappruder video tapes which captured President Kennedy's assassination, RNN has been reviewing what occurred during the Persian Gulf War. Iraq launched some 39-scud missiles, costing a million dollars per unit, in hostility against Israel. According to all the accounts that RNN has revisited, no direct loss of life occurred therefrom. Some indirect loss of life did occur. Gas mask suffocation is one such example.

The mathematical probabilities of 39 scud missiles, fired in hostility, and causing no direct loss of life, challenges reason, defies nature and brings into the mind the idea of a Miracle. It, furthermore, adds profound credibility to Rabbi Schneerson's status as a Proven Prophet as he publicly stated before the Persian Gulf War that "Israel is the safest place in the world."

 RNN has acquired 18 verified reports that we believe are very significant to the overall topic RNN is dedicated to publicly presenting. We will share now just three of these reports. That which follows is truly startling and requires some initial background orientation.

During the course of his leadership Rabbi Schneerson wrote many letters. They are collected in a series of some 22 books called the Igres Kodesh (Holy Letters). Since his passing was reported in1994, followers of Rabbi Schneerson have placed their own letters (usually seeking advice or Blessing from Rabbi Schneerson) into a randomly selected volume of the Igres Kodesh and at a randomly selected page within that volume. Here is what three such cases using this procedure reported.

Thank G-d, that the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach [King Messiah] insisted (before Gimmel Tammuz - the day of the REBBE'S concealment), on the publication of the Sifrei Igros Kodesh (books of his Holy Letters). As we therefore now have a vehicle to communicate with him.

Six and a half years ago Mrs. Helen S., an elderly lady in Brooklyn, suddenly developed a fever that she could not shake. No matter what the doctor prescribed, the fever persisted. It seemed that her situation was getting worse rather than better.

Over the next week or so she passed out several times for no apparent reason while her fever still persisted. It was decided by her family to admit her into the hospital, where they would run tests and once and for all get to the source of the problem. Over the next few days, while in the hospital, she passed out several times as well collapsing on the floor, adding physical injuries as well.

 All the tests the doctor ordered did not show anything at all, yet Helen's situation kept deteriorating. To the point where she was becoming disillusioned, not knowing where she was, not recognizing her own family members, not speaking rationally and she had no control of her actions. The doctors finally admitted defeat by telling the family

"she is in the hands of G-d".

 In sheer desperation, the family decided to ask the Rebbe, MH"M [MH"M is a Hebrew acronym for King Messiah] for advice and a Blessing. The Rebbe's response was to follow the advice of the resident doctor at the hospital - who's theory differed from that of her doctors. Yet this is whom the Rebbe said to listen to. The resident doctor ordered a bone marrow test, which correctly diagnosed her problem as being TB Meningitis. Mrs. S. was now able to be treated correctly and Thank G-d recovered completely.

Six years later, in July of 1996, [some two years after the reported passing of Rabbi Schneerson] Mrs. S. was unfortunately diagnosed with a severely deteriorating Leukemia condition. Now she was hospitalized for chemotherapy treatment. While in the hospital she suffered a mild stroke, which severely impeded her speech as well as her coordination.

 Because Helen was also given (by her daughter) the Rebbe's Mikveh [RNN will discus this water soon in this report] water before going for chemotherapy, she never had any side effects. Within a short time her speech returned to normal. The daughter informed the Rebbe of the improvements in her mother's condition. In answer, the Rebbe said (in volume 18, page 160); "I was pleased to hear about the improvement in health, it should go from good to even better".

 Today, to everyone's amazement, Mrs. Helen S. is in remission, walks around on her own, speaks normally and generally leads a normal life.

"Reading a story of a Tzaddik [Holy Rabbi] is like seeing the angel in the burning thorn bush", The Rebbe writes (Igros Kodesh, volume 20, page 116). " Spread this to every corner of the world," and "through the inspiration one gains from a story of a Tzaddik, he is given a faith which equals in it's intensity to the observance of all the commandments together, thereby giving him life."

 On the first Shabbos [Sabbath] morning after Pesach [Pasover]1997, Mrs. Kreina S. of Brooklyn was home with her two younger children. While changing her baby of a year old, the child suddenly jerked out of her hands severely twisting her arm. The child burst out crying in pain and would not allow the arm to be moved or touched.

Mrs. S. attempted to gently move the arm but the child screamed in pain. Being Shabbos, she decided to wait a while, perhaps it would improve. But as the hours ticked by the child refused to move the arm or use it at all.

By late afternoon with no improvement, she felt she had no alternative but to go to the doctor. Before taking this step, Mrs. S. decided to ask the Rebbe for a blessing for her child. Being Shabbos and therefore not being allowed to write [a letter and put it into the Holy Letters book due to Sabbath Laws for Jews], she simply walked over to a picture of the Rebbe and made her request.

Shortly after, she noticed that the arm suddenly appeared normal. In order to test it and receive an additional blessing, she began to sing "Yechi..." (Long Live the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach), suddenly her daughter, as if to emphasize that her hand was better, began to wave her sore arm as though there were nothing wrong with it.

Gimmel Tammuz - Yael Frishman just sat there in stunned silence.

 It was shortly after Gimmel Tammuz (the day of the Rebbe's concealment). Quite by "accident" she wandered into the middle of a shiur (lecture) in 770 (the Rebbe's Synagogue). As she listened to Rabbi P. make the Rebbe's words come totally alive, to her amazement, she realized that this was the injection she needed to keep her faith and belief strong.

Yael immediately became hooked on the shiurim (lectures). By learning the Rebbe's words, she became even stronger than before!

Now, two years later, Yale -like most of us - has been unable to see the Rebbe. But because of her learning she is totally aware of the fact that the Rebbe is in fact still with us!

It was then, while at a friend's home for the Shabbos [Sabbath] meal that Yael decided to tell a recent story of the Rebbe, to everyone at the table. No sooner did she conclude the story when someone exclaimed that these stories are all "bobemeises" (fairy tales). Yael did not respond to this remark. Her feeling was that any comment she would make would actually be belittling the Rebbe.

After the meal, as Yael walked home with her children, her son-in-law commented that the only reason people speak so is because they haven't learnt enough of what the Rebbe taught us. Therefore, they lack the proper faith. In order to cover that fact, they ridicule the person who believes. When they will learn more their faith will be strengthened and they will not laugh anymore.

Yael had been having some financial problems and decided to try her luck with a lottery ticket. On Friday afternoon she asked her son to buy her a ticket. As it was getting close to Shabbos, when he came home with the ticket Yael quickly took it and put it into a volume of Igros Kodesh which happened to be on the table.

When Shabbos was over her son-in-law noticed the lottery ticket in the Igros (book of Holy Letters of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.) He assumed it was there to mark the page of an answer from the Rebbe. He opened it to read the letter on that page. After reading for several minutes he began to laugh.

Yael now realized just how much the Rebbe looks out for us! Had she looked in the Igros when she put the ticket in, she would have seen the answer to what transpired later during that Shabbos, as well as the solution to her financial situation!

 In other RNN Special Reports we have conveyed from our sources that the Kaballa (the Sacred Book of Jewish Mystical Wisdom) teaches that there is an extension of Moses in every Jewish Generation. What does Judaism have to say regarding being connected to and having Faith in such a generational leader? From the Book of Exodus 14:31 we now quote:

"Israel beheld the mighty hand which the Lord wielded against the Egyptians, and the people feared the Lord, and believed in the Lord and in Moses His servant.

The phenomenon of Rabbi Schneerson's followers receiving a meaningful answer from the collection of his Holy Letters has become so common place, world-wide, in the past four years since his reported passing, that this supernatural event has now become "natural" to those whose lives have been touched and Spiritually uplifted by him, RNN was told.

What is even more vastly profound about these reports of supernatural answers and supernatural healings occurring from drinking an amount of water containing some water used by Rabbi Schneerson in the course of his religious duties is this: 

At the first public Chassidic discourse in 1951 when Rabbi Schneerson accepted the mantle of leadership as the Seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, the agenda for his leadership was presented and explained.

 In giving this initial discourse some very profound insights to the stories of the Jewish Bible were presented. As RNN learned therefrom, seven Jewish Generational Leaders, starting with Abraham and culminating with Moses, had managed to bring the Divine Presence from the Seventh Heaven (where it had been removed to due to the sins of the generations that preceded Abraham's) back to this world. The return of the Divine Presence manifested itself in the Divine Revelation which the Jewish Bible attests to having occurred on Mount Sinai with the giving of the Torah, the Five Books of Moses.

 RNN asked its sources if the reported events of miraculous answers and miraculous cures could be accurately interpreted as the beginning of a Divine Intervention. The response we received was a firm "yes".

 There has been expressed in many articles and programs in the media a general public feeling that something is poised to happen here on Earth. Seeing as how Rabbi Schneerson has batted a thousand with all of his Prophecies, seeing as how reports of miraculous occurrences are starting to be accepted as natural it begs to ask the question asked earlier in this special report. "What is going on here."

A Proven Prophet has Prophesied that the Redemption is imminent. The agenda of his leadership states as its fundamental goal to bring the Divine Presence back down to this Earth as it was in the Garden of Eden. Miraculous things have been reported and associated with Rabbi Schneerson and his Saintly Father-in Law for more than five decades. Quietly people are beginning to report supernatural communications from Rabbi Schneerson through letters written to others prior to his reported passing.
