From Speculation to Certainty - The Insiders' Report

When Rabbi M.M. Schneerson assumed the leadership of the Chabad Lubavitch Chassidic community in 1951, he delivered a Chassidic discourse which was a continuation of the discourse that had been initiated by his predecessor, his Saintly father-in-law, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson. This discourse is titled Basi L'Gani and expounds on a passage from the Song of Songs 5: which in English reads as follows: I have entered my garden, my canopy, the place where I chiefly resided at the very beginning. This passage's deeper meaning, its hidden message, was revealed at that first discourse of Rabbi Schneerson. It refers to the return of the Divine Presence to this world as it was originally in the Garden of Eden prior to the sin of Adam.

As Basi L'Gani unfolded before the eyes and ears of those present, there were but a few who appreciated the magnitude and profundity of its message. Rabbi Schneerson stated the agenda for this Jewish generation's Spiritual task. He informed those who were present, and those who later read the published transcript, that this Jewish generation was to be the last generation of the Jewish Exile and the first generation of the Final Redemption. These words were not expressed as a hope, a prayer or an abstract goal. They were delivered literal in their meaning.

Only but a handful of learned Jews were able to appreciate the deeper significance of these words. Returning the Divine Presence to this world as it was in the Garden of Eden prior to the fall of Adam and further stating outright that this generation is the last of exile and the first of Redemption is exclusively the message of the Biblically Promised Redeemer of Israel as RNN has been informed.

To the rest of the Orthodox Jewish world Rabbi Schneerson was perceived as a Chassidic Rebbe. There are numerous Chassidic Rebbes in Orthodox Judaism. The incalculable greatness of scholarship and refinement of Soul was only surpassed by the unprecedented humility which successfully concealed to the world who and what Rabbi Schneerson was and is.

Of all the evidence that has been reviewed by RNN pertaining to Rabbi Schneerson, the following made the deepest impression. It provides a minute flash of insight to the Soul of Rabbi Schneerson. It reveals a level of intelligence heretofore unknown to mankind. The following quote is from a letter written by Rabbi Schneerson in 1956 in which he reveals his inner experiences as a three year old child. As needed background, one should be aware that by Tradition, Jewish boys begin their religious education at the age of three. They go to what is called "cheder", a Hebrew word signifying early schooling.

Visiting any cheder will reveal little boys learning the fundamentals of the Hebrew alphabet - aleph, bet, gimmel... The RNN reader is respectfully requested to slowly and carefully scrutinize what now follows:

'From the day that I went to cheder, and even prior to that, the vision of the future Redemption began to take form in my imagination-the Redemption of the Jewish people from their final Exile, a Redemption of such magnitude and grandeur through which, the purpose of the suffering, the harsh decrees and annihilations of Exile will be understood...with a full heart and cognizance, we will then exclaim: 'I will laud You O G-d for you have vented Your wrath upon me.' "

From RNN experiences with three year old children we have discovered that their primary focus is on playing, wanting Mommy, eating candy, running and the like. Three year old children do not envision the Redemption of the Jewish people...unless the Soul of that child is the Soul of King Messiah.

As the decades passed and ever increasing success was being achieved in strengthening Jewish Religious observance world wide by Rabbi Schneerson. Those acquainted with Maimonides' Laws which define Messiah in Judaism ( see To Be The Messiah ) began quietly murmuring in low voices amongst themselves. A pattern was unfolding. It fit like a hand in a glove to the Laws just mentioned. Perceptions became realized emotionally. A quiet understanding spread outward in an ever increasing net within Lubavitch. The possibility that Rabbi Schneerson was the Messiah soon became the only discussed topic in Lubavitch. The Jewish Legal possibility next skyrocketed to certainty when the Gulf War began and its occurrence was confirmed by Rabbi Schneerson as being the fulfillment of theYalkut Shimoni Prophecy. As mounting evidence met and matched Jewish Legal Criteria there arose the public announcements of this present certainty. Rabbi Schneerson is the Messiah and his reported passing does not negate that truth.

Earlier efforts to go public with this proclamation were rebuked and criticized by Rabbi Schneerson. A book written by the world-renowned Scholar, Rabbi Wolpe of Jerusalem, was submitted to Rabbi Schneerson in 1984 for approbation. This book made the equation. Its format can be expressed thus:

This is what Maimonides states is required of Messiah. This is what Rabbi Schneerson has accomplished. A equals B. Hence Rabbi Schneerson is King Moshiach.

Rabbi Wolpe was denied the approbation he was seeking from The Lubavitcher Rebbe and furthermore was criticized in 1984 for taking that initiative. In 1992 after resubmitting his work again for approbation to Rabbi Schneerson, Rabbi Wolpe received this following response:

"I have received your submission and was greatly delighted. The enclosed work should be properly bound; accept my gratitude in advance. It should be successful; and I hope to hear glad tidings..."

The Lubavitch Organization went electric. Event after event reconfirmed that Rabbi Schneerson had reversed a forty year policy and now permitted identification of himself to the public as Moshiach. With the occurrence of the Persian Gulf War the speculations, the perceptions and the intuitions were replaced with irrefutable absolute certainty within Lubavitch.

RNN will now attempt to escort the reader through what is most likely unfamiliar territory. As was explained to us, the certainty that presently fuels the worldwide publicity campaign, announcing Rabbi Schneerson as the True and only Messiah, is arrived at by the following ten considerations.

Step One:

A Prophecy is by definition a fact albeit one which exists in the future.

Step Two:

The Source of Prophecy is God.

Step Three:

The Yalkut Shimoni Prophecy states: "...in the year that Moshiach will reveal himself, the kings of the nations will contend one with the next; the King of Persia...the King of Arabia...and the Holy One, blessed be He, will then say to Israel: 'My children, do not be afraid...the time of your Redemption has arrived...' "

Step Four:

By Jewish Religious Law Rabbi Schneerson is a Proven Prophet.

Step Five:

A Proven Prophet must be believed and obeyed by Jewish Religious Law.

Step Six:

When asked about the occurrence of the Persian Gulf War and its relationship to this Yalkut Shimoni Prophecy Rabbi Schneerson confirmed that the Persia referred to in the Yalkut Shimoni Prophecy is modern day Iraq.

Step Seven:

A Proven Prophet, Rabbi Schneerson confirms in, 1991, the fulfillment of the Yalkut Shimoni Prophecy as being manifest in the Gulf War of 1991, being the very same year that Rabbi Schneerson identifies himself as Moshiach.

Step Eight:

Only God can foresee, and convey to a Prophet information about a future war.

Step Nine:

God speaks through events and authors wars.

Step Ten:

The Persian Gulf War therefore is understood as a communication from God conveying this message:

"Moshiach is".
